Community Center

SOPHOMORE YEAR | SPRING 2021

My library project allowed me to expand on the idea of exploring space through experiential design. After doing research on the site location and demographics, I found there was a need for more kid-friendly activities and services for disabilities. Therefore, I decided the library could better serve the community by including spaces such as mother's room, IEP classrooms, and community kitchen.

Spatial Relations

I used Maslow's Hierarchi of Needs to organize programs from floor-to-floor

Concept

The Gestalt principle was used to organize space within levels
